LaTour
LaTour
LaTour are an intoxicating musical family who bring delicious harmonies, heavy synth bass, 808 drums, Low Rider soul sounds; bridging acoustic, analog, and electronic grooves with traditional rhythms, and New Orleans Creole funk to create a fresh boogaloo flavor. As musicians, dancers, and singers, LaTour find passion in stripping down and demystifying the Afro-clave rhythm which permeates American music creating that universal groove that makes it all so funky. Heavily influenced by soul heroes like James Brown, Zapp and Roger, Shuggie Otis, Switch, Prince, Leon Sylvers III and the DeBarge family as well as traditional Afro-Cuban music and Boogaloo giants like Joe Cuba and Joe Bataan, LaTour seeks to honor the masters of the land of clave soul by creating sweet, sticky, undeniable songs that feel good and fine. They deliver heavy bass, intricate percussion, vulnerable and beautiful vocals and unpasteurized love and good vibrations.
